Shipping Cut Off Times
Shipping Cut-Off Times define the latest time of the day when an order should be prepared for shipment on the same day. Orders created after the configured cut-off time are typically processed for shipment on the next business day. This helps the system make better decisions when calculating shipping services and estimated delivery times.
By configuring the cut-off time, the system can better determine whether an order should use same-day shipping logic or be considered part of the next shipping cycle.
Tips
- If an order is created after the cut-off time and will not be shipped the same day, it is recommended not to move the order to “Ready to Ship.”
- When an order is manually set to Ready to Ship, the system assumes the shipping decision is final and will not run the Best Rate process again the next day.
- When an order is manually set to Ready to Ship, the system assumes the shipping decision is final and will not run the Best Rate process again the next day.
- Since carrier rates can change from one day to another, the best practice is to leave the order in “Processing Shipment.” When the order remains in this status, the system will automatically run the Best Rate process early the next morning, allowing it to retrieve more accurate and up-to-date shipping rates.
